HAL RAMCFG constants migration

This section provides information about the HAL RAMCFG constants migration .

HAL RAMCFG error codes constants

HAL1

HAL2

#define HAL_RAMCFG_ERROR_BUSY
#define HAL_RAMCFG_ERROR_INVALID_CALLBACK
#define HAL_RAMCFG_ERROR_NONE
#define HAL_RAMCFG_ERROR_TIMEOUT

Removed; these kinds of logical errors are reported by direct function return.

Note

These defines are not meant to be used by the user, they are used internally by the driver to unlock the RAMCFG and allow erasing it. As consequence, these constants are removed from the HAL2 driver and user can go to the LL layer if needed to control the sequence manually.

HAL RAMCFG ECC key identifiers constants

HAL1

HAL2

#define RAMCFG_ECC_KEY1
#define RAMCFG_ECC_KEY2

Removed; use LL constants instead.

#define LL_RAMCFG_ECC_KEY_1
#define LL_RAMCFG_ECC_KEY_2

HAL RAMCFG erase key identifiers constants

HAL1

HAL2

#define RAMCFG_ERASE_KEY1
#define RAMCFG_ERASE_KEY2

Removed; use LL constant instead.

#define LL_RAMCFG_ERASE_KEY_1
#define LL_RAMCFG_ERASE_KEY_2

Related concept: Define statements and enumerations redirected to LL equivalents

HAL RAMCFG status flags constants

HAL1

HAL2

#define RAMCFG_FLAG_SINGLEERR
#define RAMCFG_FLAG_DOUBLEERR

#define RAMCFG_FLAG_SRAMBUSY

#define RAMCFG_FLAGS_ALL
typedef enum
{
  HAL_RAMCFG_ECC_NONE,
  HAL_RAMCFG_ECC_SINGLE,
  HAL_RAMCFG_ECC_DOUBLE
} hal_ramcfg_ecc_type_t;

This define has been removed in HAL2 as it was used internally in HAL1, An equivalent definition is now provided within the LL layer for use when necessary.

Removed from HAL2.

HAL RAMCFG interrupt identifiers constants

HAL1

HAL2

#define RAMCFG_IT_SINGLEERR
#define RAMCFG_IT_DOUBLEERR
#define RAMCFG_IT_NMIERR

#define RAMCFG_IT_ALL
#define HAL_RAMCFG_IT_ECC_SINGLE
#define HAL_RAMCFG_IT_ECC_DOUBLE
#define HAL_RAMCFG_IT_ECC_DOUBLE_NMI

Removed from HAL2.

HAL RAMCFG wait state values constants

HAL1

HAL2

#define RAMCFG_WAITSTATE_0
#define RAMCFG_WAITSTATE_1
#define RAMCFG_WAITSTATE_2
#define RAMCFG_WAITSTATE_3
#define RAMCFG_WAITSTATE_4
#define RAMCFG_WAITSTATE_5
#define RAMCFG_WAITSTATE_6
#define RAMCFG_WAITSTATE_7
typedef enum
{
  HAL_RAMCFG_WAIT_STATE_0,
  HAL_RAMCFG_WAIT_STATE_1
} hal_ramcfg_wait_state_t;

Based on the hardware specifications, only wait states 0 and 1 are supported across the STM32 devices. Consequently, the enumeration has been refined to include only HAL_RAMCFG_WAIT_STATE_0 and HAL_RAMCFG_WAIT_STATE_1.
